Guide information to inspire success and better life
Discipline & Success Are Synonymous

Why is it that some people want to be successful but they will not do what is necessary to be successful? For example, people who have jobs will go to bed every night around the same time so that they can get up and go to work the next day. Most people who work a 9 to 5 dread getting up, getting caught in traffic and paying the high costs of public transportation. All of this, just to create a dream for someone else.

The compensation for this is, of course, a paycheck. That is why most people do it. The barter for trade is you give them your time and you will except the fee that they tell you you are worth. While in the interim, you are told when you can eat, when you can take breaks and when you can take your vacation time. You may even have to go in on some days when you are sick because you want and need the money.

If you think about it, you have disciplined yourself for someone else’s success. Their income rises off of the combined efforts of you and your co workers. Employees will complain about how badly they are treated by other co-workers. Employees even fuss about not being appreciated by their supervisors. Employees constantly gripe about not receiving recognition for the contributions they have made to the company. The lists goes on and on. This song sounds a little like domestic violence. Employees continue to complain about the results but they stay reactive instead of proactive.

Take the time and ask yourself, what if I was to discipline myself for the benefit of myself? What would the outcome be? What would be different if you chose to start your own business, whether offline or online, and disciplined yourself consistently? What if you forgot about the outcome and just focused on building your business? Will you become a millionaire? You will never know the answer to these questions without putting forth an effort. I will say this, you will be a better person and you will likely earn more being self-employed rather than being an employee.

Take exercising as an example, if you do 50 push ups per day versus 0 push ups per day how much stronger would you be at the end of the month or at the end of the year? The 50 push ups represent you working for yourself the 0 push ups represent you working as an employee. Does it make you think?

The results you would see from the 50 push ups per day will motivate you to do more. The same holds true of you starting your own business and working for yourself. When you do constant activity daily it breeds results. There was a commercial sometime ago where Cher was the spokesperson for a fitness center and the famous quote she said was, “If good health came in a bottle than everyone would be healthy.” This quote was so powerful because it basically suggested that if it comes easy to us we will do it. However, if we have to work for it, we might not do it. This is why I say if you discipline yourself success is in your future. That is why discipline is synonymous with success.

Get busy building your dream, all it takes is a lot of discipline and success will be waiting for you!
